It really wasn't his job to do so, but at the request of Luaralane, Br'ors could not refuse. It was the clutch of the gold Dyamoth, not Hopeths, but still Luaralane had requested him to join her on the hatching sands, to look over the clutch. It had taken some nudging from Saith to convince him that it was best to go. As far as the weyr went, she and he were considered weyrmates, but they were certainly not lovers. Br'ors just could not find words when it came to women, and thus his curse to be forever alone.
You are not to be forever alone. You are being dramatic. Saith informed him, throwing in a snort in for good measure. While you are there, you should look at those fire bird eggs. I want to see them too! Of course Saith would want to see something new like that. Br'ors laughed, glancing at both clutches before looking around. He was waiting for Luaralane . With hope she would arrive soon, though he admitted that he had been very quick to get there himself.
So long as he did not get too flustered, he would hopefully be able to speak with her without mumbling off into silence. As an after thought, he wondered if she remembered his blind-eye, which led to him wondering what Luaralane actually thought about him. You are over-thinking again!
No, I am thinking just the right amount thank you. Weren't you taking a nap or something?

Luaralane had requested her meet her at the sands - to overlook Dyamoth's clutch. She had decided it was best to come look at that - and the firebirds. Mostly because Hopeth had been up her arse sideways lately. She was too busy all the time. Her a MasterHealer. She was very much so busy - all the time it seemed. Now she was dealing with the consequences of a scheming dragon.
Saith, how art thou this fine evening? the female white asked her mate. Crooning lightly from where she had herself curled on a ledge. She and Dyamoth had always gotten along - hence she was always careful around the other clutching female - especially as of late. Because the Weyr now had two clutches on the sands. Dyamoth's and the Fire-birds. Speaking of firebirds hers would probably be best at getting one.
"Hello Br'or's - how are you this evening. I asked to see you here so we could look over the clutch a little. And I needed to speak to you about our teamwork." She said lightly - almost gently. Speak business to him - the jr.Weyrleader in him would allow him to be more easily focused on that - so she believed. She looked towards the eggs - approaching them a little and crouching down. The sands around the firebird eggs was hotter then around the dragons. The flaming eggs having a life of their own.
"You know I wonder what it's like to touch one. A few people have - hence how we have them. Apparently it burns horribly - but who knows... that could only be the result if you touch one meant for you. Wanna try?" She commented as she looked towards a swirling flaming egg. It was the same coloration as Hopeth's hide - with sparks of silvery golden hints throughout. Red flames danced around the egg - as she stretched out her hand. "What do you think?"

The fire-bird within the white egg gave a slight start when she felt someone get so close to her egg. She however didn’t make a sound as she looked into the persons mind. It was obvious that this one had leadership skills, but she also had other personality traits that would be well for her other siblings though. Was this one the right one for her? The fire-bird considered this for a moment, but found herself drifting back into a sleep. No, this one was not for here. This one was for someone else. The white’s egg got a little hotter and glew a little brighter as sadness filled her. She wanted freedom! She wanted to lead! But this one just wasn’t the one for her. With that, the white drifted back into her coma and continued to wait for the one that would come for here.
Though the white hatchling was not interested in the girl who had bent down towards it, the very large crimson one beside it woke up instantly when the girl neared. She was not interested in the little male red with in it, but this didn’t seem to stop him from noticing her. He searched her emotions trying to see if there was a link that he could connect to. Trying to see if he had finally found the right person for him. He was just as tired of being trapped inside his egg as his white sister was and he wanted freedom. He hated being locked up in such a small place. It was stuffy and he didn’t like stuffy. In fact, the fact that he was still dragon in this sharding egg irritated him beyond all belief. He was not made to be caged up in a egg forever! But ever time he had found someone that he found interesting, they seemed to be less then interested in him. It was infuriating!
But this one… This one felt right. He could feel her furious spirit buried deep down inside. He had found yet another human that he could connect to. But would this one ignore is loving and longing hum as well? Would this one set him free from his cage? There was only one way to find out. Instantly the bird with in the egg started to hum loudly to the person he felt outside. Longing for her to choose him and give him the freedom he had been waiting for. Freedom he had been aching for for many turns with no one considering him. Hopefully today would be his day. Hopefully today he would be free and he could get his payback on all of those that dared to ignore his call. She would join the list as well if she dared to ignore him as well. He was tired of being ignored! He wanted some attention! He wanted someone who wanted him and not those around him!

Br'ors watched and listened, observing as Luaralane and listening to her words. She wanted to talk over them working together, something he understood perfectly. After all, they may not have been leaders of this weyr long, but it was long enough, and even now having stepped down a rank, they needed to work well together. That was the way of things. He remained quiet, not saying much until asked an opinion.
"I don't think that egg is right for you. Healer or not, you can't surround yourself with white." It was a subtle joke, a tease at their dragons. Of course, Saith caught this, but did not dignify it with a reply. Instead the white male turned his attention to his mate.
M'lady Hopeth, I am well. You must be well, for this lovely evening is nothing to your radiance. Saith crooned back, head held up proudly.
Taking his cue from Luaralane, Br'ors reached out to the eggs, brushing his fingers over the shells lightly. They didn't seem to burn, so maybe there was truth to them only burning the one they were meant for. "Amazing creatures huh?" he asked, still running fingers over the eggs, slowly enough he could look at whichever one he was touching with care.

Luaralane noticed the egg flare up - for a moment she swore she felt something stroking her mind. She looked up at Br'or's and laughed softly. "Yes, well there are many things that don't suit me." She said as she chuckled lightly and then looked back at the eggs. No - it seemed that egg wasn't suited for her. She looked over the other eggs - her eyes scanning them faintly as she tried to sense life from the twenty-five eggs upon the sands. What was within these shells?
That was something she was always curious about. She noticed Br'or's crouch beside her - watching how the man moved. In a lot of ways he reminded her of her Weyrmate, the one that had refused to travel to Akum. Saying that he could handle being mated to a white rider - but he would not be around mythical creatures such as firebirds. That and southern just wouldn't agree with him. Sadly she had let that fall away from her. She was slowly but surely forgetting the love she had for him.
She noticed the humming then - as she turned her attention towards that egg. Her hand then descended and landed upon the shell.
Well then Saith - we should proceed to bathing or eating more then likely. I have an ache within me to spend some time away from the people.

When Luaralane touched the crimson egg, the egg’s heat instantly increased ten fold and the humming stopped as the egg started to shake violently on the sands before her. He had been chosen! He had finally been chosen! The egg shown almost blindingly as it continued to shake. He was going to be free! He fought against the shell around him desperately. He wanted out. He wanted to see the one who had set him free and he wanted to be with her forever! As long as she didn’t put him in something so confiding again that is. He knew that he could be happy with her though. After all, she was the only one that seemed to have wanted him. Suddenly the egg stopped shaking and the shell burst off of the crimson colored red firebird as he shot into the air finally free from his three turns of being trapped. He turned to the person who had set him free and purred happily at her as he flapped his long wings to keep himself in the air. It was then that one would notice that he wasn’t just crimson though. Lighter hues of red also seemed to be dancing throughout his flaming body. He was also very big for a hatchling already at two feet long in body length and three feet in wing length. Quite the interesting red to say the least, but he didn’t seem to care. He was happy. This girl was his and he loved her. | - Firebird Information - | Name: To be decided by owner. Turns: Hatchling Species: Fire-bird
Appearance: This red firebird is a surprisingly very dark shade of red for being made of a strongly lit flame. It’s coloration is a very deep color of crimson red, but it also seems to have a mix of lighter colors mixed in as well making him look like a very dashing young male Fire-bird. Coming from one of the largest eggs in the clutch, surprisingly, this fire-bird is already two feet long in the body and his wings already stretch to a good three feet. Though he is big, this fire-bird appears to be very lean in build and has a bit of a longer and sharper beak then should be normal for it’s species. His feathery looking flaming body also looks very sharp as well and I mean that literally. The flaming feathers on this bird seem to end at points and seem to be very shaggy making some people think of a porcupine when looking upon the big flaming creature. His eyes are a orange-ish gold color and they seem to give off a very piercing gaze.
Personality: This firebird is very hot tempered and hates to be caged up. He loves the freedom of the sky and actually seems to be a little claustrophobic. Though he can get really angry really fast, this firebird is actually quite tame for a red. He knows how to think rationally when he isn't angry or irritated and, though he may think he will hurt someone, this is just the anger making him irrational. He wouldn’t honestly consider hurting anyone if he could help himself. But occasionally anger does get the best of him. This firebird is also very proud and he tends to act tough as nails. He doesn’t like to show weakness to anyone and he also doesn’t like to be given orders. Though all of this may be true, this fire-bird can be a very loving creature as well. He is very protective of his owner and he actually does love her even though they are bound to get in a fight or two every now and again. Luaralane is the only person who can keep this firebird under control. All she has to do is give a simple command and he will begrudgingly follow it.
OOC: Woot! Luaralane is special getting one of the very few reds that will impress to a healer! Gratz to you! Feel free to add more if you wish. It was all I could think about at the moment. Just remember he is a red ^^
As Br’ors went through the eggs and touched many of them, they woke up for only a moment before slipping back into there lonely slumbers. None of them seemed to think they were right for him and learning this seemed to make their eggs glow the same eerie brightness that the white egg had taken on. They were all disappointed that this one was not theirs. They all had been waiting so long that they all thought they wouldn’t find someone fitting enough for them. But as he got closer to a purple egg with blue streaks all around it’s smallish frame, the little female two-tone woke up inside of it’s egg and turned her attention to the on coming person. She searched his mind for something that could connect them and she found it almost instantly. They were so much alike that it was almost a dream come true. But what was this other thing inside the one she wanted? She wasn’t sure if she liked it or not. However, this was not enough for the two-tone to refuse such a perfect match to her. She started humming for him as he drew nearer. It didn’t seem like she needed to hum though as Br’ors finally reached her egg and made contact with it. She had finally gotten her freedom and she couldn’t wait to hear the music of the world and spy on the world as well. She was curious! She wanted to know what was out there right now! And she would. The egg Br’ros touched instantly became extremely hot when his hand fall on it and it started to shake and glow. But unlike her clutch brother’s egg, this little ones shell didn’t explode off of her. Instead, it seemed to crumble around her. Once she was free of the egg, she stumbled a little and fell face first into the sands. She gave a shriek of surprise as this happened and fought herself back onto her feet using her wings and her feet. She shook herself her body and wings once she was standing again and looked around herself with obvious curiosity. She didn’t seem to be fazed at all by the fall. However, she gave another shriek, but this time of alarm, as her eyes landed on the dragons and she quickly took off into the air. Instantly she flew behind her new owner and hide behind him only peeking over Br’ors shoulder to look at the dragons. They were big and they looked scary! How was she not suppose to be afraid of them? Hers would protect her from them right? | - Firebird Information - | Name: To be chosen by owner. Turns: Hatchling Species: Firebird
Appearance: Being a two-toned firebird, this fire-bird is a rare beauty. Though her main color is a deep amethyst color, this is not the only color that she has on her though. This firebird also has a beautiful sapphire blue on her flaming “feathers” as well. To be honest, the blue on this bird looks like she had dipped the tips of her feathers into paint and let it dry. But this isn’t the only thing blue about this firebird though. She also seems to have a odd almost star like marking on her left shoulder that’s just as blue as her tips. This star like mark can only be seen when her wings are spread or when she is flying. Though this may be true, it defiantly seems to add to the cuteness of the two-tone. A mix of two of the bigger fire-birds, this firebird was surprisingly petit when she hatched from the purple and blue egg. Of course, this fire-bird is indeed going to grow to be her normal size eventually. But at the moment, her body is about one foot and her wings are about two feet. This little girls feather like flames lay elegantly flat against her frame for the most part and her eyes are the same color as the her "feather" tips.
Personality: This girl seems to be a very happy-go-lucky sort of girl and she seems to hold the normal respect of a purple firebird. She doesn’t really seem to get angry all that much and she loves to just sit and enjoy the presence of others around her. She usually remains quiet and attentive for the most part around others and doesn't really like to be the center of attention at all. Though this maybe true, she would much rather avoid big crowds much like her blue siblings. She is nowhere as reclusive as her blue brothers though. In fact, she likes to be around others as long as they are respectful, kind, and not intimidating. She is willing to put up with pretty much anything as long as her Br'ors is there with her though. This is mainly because she knows he will protect her if she needs protecting. This girl is also a little clumbsy as well, but she recovers quickly if she falls or runs into something. She doesn't really seem to mind the fact that she is clumbsy all that much as long as people aren't staring at her because of it.
Of course, being part blue, this girl does seem to have some reclusive moments in which she simply just wishes to be left alone. But these are not as common as her wanting to be around her Br’ors. Like all purples, this girl loves music and she enjoys singing along with it as long as it doesn’t irritate anyone around her. If she does irritate anyone, she seems to stop instantly out of respect for them. She is also very curious and will often disappear to go check something out or possibly even spy on someone on occasion. Of course, the spying is only used to sedate her curiosity of things. Being more timid then she would like to admit, this two-toned fire-bird is very easily scared by new things that are bigger then her and look dangerous. This is mainly probably because she is so small though and could be easily crushed. When she is scared, this fire-bird tends to run and hide behind her owner in the hopes that he can protect her from the big scary things. Even though half of the time she doesn’t even need to be protected.
Other: This firebird can clutch the usual size for a purple even though she is toned with blue. This is probably because she has the base of a purple though.
