Appearance:
Veriem is a thin and short young boy. He has these traits thanks to his parents, who were both thin and short. Don't let size fool you though, Veriem has heart, which is all that matters to this blue eyed weyrbrat. He has naturally white-blonde hair, and got his mothers more fair complexion. As if to make up for all the inherited traits, Veriem has a very cocky face, with thin eyes and a forever crooked smile.
In the way of build, he is mainly skin and bone, still to young to have real muscle mass. He looks like a scrawny young boy, which is really exactly correct. He will one day grow into his own frame, but as he is right now, Veriem is simply a cute but fiesty boy, with overgrown hair and teeth that look just slightly too big for his face.
Personality:
Heart, fire, and an unbending will. This could easily sum up this boy. Veriem has a deep sense of right and wrong, and has learned to trust his instinct on things, advice given to him by many a dragonrider. Like many young boys, he is an explorer, always seeming to find trouble, but while some are born to lead, Veriem is content to sit back with calm eyes and observe results. He is more curious than anything, but brave when he must be.
At times, this is trouble for Veriem. He can think he knows everything, and is too hardheaded to realize he does not until someone older knocks him down a peg or two. Still, even after, he will not always learn his lesson. He is simply a boy, learning his way in the world, trying to find who he will one day be. He dreams of riding a dragon like his mother and father, and doing great things for Pern.
History:
Born in Akum Weyr to a brownrider father and a greenrider mother, Veriems childhood was nothing special. He spent some of his life with his parents, and then went on to a nurse, who would raise him as she had several other weyrbrats. Veriem was lucky enough in his older age to meet his mother, though his father never saw the boy after his birth, dying of an unforeseen illness.
Seriena, his mother, returned to Veriems life for a short time, taking solace in her sons life to help her grieve her lover. Half a turn when by when he was his mothers son, and then she could no longer afford the time all of the sudden one day. It was a sad day for Veriem, but as he looks back to that time from two turns ago, he understands a bit more. His mother had another baby, his half sister.
While he knows little of his infant sister, he does love his mother, and listens to her tales about his father. When he reached twelve turns of age, he was given a gift of a firelizard egg from Seriena, which hatched days later to be his blue he named Blaze.
He has lived a safe life in the weyr, hearing tales from the riders and everyone else in the weyr. His foster mother still cares for him, though he has grown more distant since becoming so close to his birth mother and then losing her to threadfall. Veriem now stands as a candidate, determined to follow his birth-parents path.

Why you want the colors: Really, I like browns, but whatever you give him I will love.
Why you think you deserve the colors: because I am a good site member, and I love all baby dragons... and browns aren't so super special awesome I would feel bad for getting one

Name: Blaze
Turns: almost 1
Species: Firelizard
Appearance:
Deep blue, Blaze is one solid color of hide, stretched over a healthy and plump frame. Veriem spoils him slightly with treats, and it shows. His wings and legs are a bit short for his long frame, making him look rather silly.
Personality:
Blaze is more like a puppy than a firelizard. He likes any ones company, and is always begging for treats. He is really sweet, and very much enjoys a good scratch or rub of his belly.
