Appearance: Vexyn has reddish-brown hair, and light brown eyes. He has a handsome, solemn face that usually wears a slight frown. He is 6'1", and gives off a general impression of someone who keeps to himself: the way he seems to pull his head in between his shoulders, the way he seems to turn in on himself.

As for clothing, he usually wears something casual and loose. He doesn't bother much about what he wears, but he usually prefers browns and reds. He'll wear just about anything that he lays his hands on, though, as long as it's not too bright. He doesn't want to draw much attention to himself.


Personality: He is usually solemn and secluded. He used to like to be around others, but not any more. When forced to be around other people, he hangs back, rarely talking to anyone. He's the kind of guy you look at for a minute, then turn away, muttering, "What's his problem?" When he does talk to people, he is frank almost to the point of rudeness, but not quite. Nobody's heard him talk enough to really notice.

That's his outward impression. On the inside is a side he doesn't show to anyone. He seems impassive, not caring about anything that happens, but the truth is that he cares all too much. He's desperately lonely, but he won't let himself become close to anyone for fear of losing then. He's also insecure about himself and others. He never knows what might remind him of painful things, so he tries not to think about anything too much. He also tries not to feel too much, which is why he tries to seem so impassive, but unfortunately he' not very good at this. He feels all too much...the pain of memories, the anger at others just for having some characteristic that makes him remember. It's very hard for him to live this way, but he doesn't know how to lighten up anymore.

History: Vexyn grew up in Crystal Cave Hold. He was a relatively normal boy for a while; he played with others, he had friends, he had a mother and a father that loved him. He was a happy child.

Until he was 6. When he was 6 Turns old, Thread fell from the skies once more. Devastating amounts of people died in Crystal Cave Hold. Including Vexyn's mother. Vexyn grieved even more than his father did, for he had loved his mother very much, and did so many things with her. He became upset even more by the apparent fact that his father was not sad enough for his mate's death. His father believed in moving on, trying to forget the past that can't be changed. Vexyn thought that his father hadn't loved his mother, and he turned against his father. He turned against his friends too, for they had not lost their mothers, in fact, only one of his close friends had any immediate family die, and he got taken to another Hold. Vexyn was left with nobody to relate to.

When he was 12, though, a boy came to the Hold. His name was Aren. Aren's mother had died in Threadfall as well, and he had a foster family now, in Crystal Cave Hold. Vexyn quickly took a liking to him...too much of a liking. Vexyn realized that he actually had a crush on the boy, which confused him, because before Aren had come he had liked a girl named Verila. It was then that Vexyn realized that he was bisexual. He shared this with nobody for a while, keeping it to himself. But a year after he had met Aren, he finally told him. To his great surprise, Aren didn't mind, even though he didn't feel the same way. Vexyn found out that Aren's brother, Sanaryn, had been homosexual, so Aren was used to it. Sanaryn had been sent to a different Hold. So Aren and Vexyn's friendship remained, even strengthened, now that Vexyn had told him his secret feelings. Vexyn again had somebody he could really open up to.

Then the plague came. When Vexyn was 14, it spread around Crystal Cave Hold, the same plague taking place in Akum Weyr. Vexyn fell ill. For a few sevendays, he lay in bed, with the terrible disease, but he lived through it, gradually strengthening. When he was strong enough, he helped those that were sick, hoping to see Aren among the assistant healers like himself. He did not. Nor was he one of the sick. Vexyn worried greatly. He had no way of knowing whether Aren was well or dead. But when the plague finally passed he received word that his best friend had indeed passed away. Vexyn was set into turmoil yet again. Once again. he had nobody to speak to. And he now trusted himself with nobody at all, for he was beginning to believe that anyone he became friends with would leave him, break his heart again. He started spending as much time away from others as possible, preferring to be alone with his thoughts. Nobody saw him smile for a long, long time.

At 18, he is starting to recover, just a little bit. He is still very reclusive, afraid to make firm friendships with anybody, but he is starting to move on. He still doesn't like crowds, but he will endure them. He's starting to open himself up again, inch by inch. He was Searched a few months after Turning 18, and the idea of having a dragon gave him hope, though he became afraid as well, for what if the dragon left him too? Where would he be then? But the thought of perhaps having somebody that he could talk to, that could understand, and that was less likely to leave, gave him courage. So he agreed, leaving Crystal Cave Hold for Akum Weyr, to start his new life.

Dragon, Two paragraphs for both Appearance and Personality are required for a character profile. Vexyn will not be accepted until those requirements are finished and all the kinks are worked out. As for Pictures, they are there to give a visual reference for people who have trouble imagining someone with out a picture.

Please use spell check. You have several spelling mistakes along with words that are stuck together. Aren's brother is first Sanaryn and then Sanalyn.

Fix these things and Nexyn will be looked over again.
