Appearance: What's really scary about Beka, apart from the scowl she almost always wears, is the fact she's almost deathly pale. The slight dusting of freckles across her delicately arched nose and cheeks gives her an air of innocence that is gone the minute she draws her brows together in a scowl, or her eyes narrow in a glare. Her features are soft and almost Innocent, delicate, almost as though made from a true artists hand.

Hair is short, cut raggedly so the strands fall just under her chin, brushing her neck. Kept short due to the inconvenience of long hair when living holdless, Beka found that short hair was much harder to get a grip on. Dark in colour, Beka's hair is one of the only things she inherited from her father, for where her mother's hair is a light chestnut, his was black as raven feathers. Just like Beka's hair.

Thick lashes frame her eyes, the colour alone makes people shrink away. A stormy mix of blue and grey, darkening and lightening with each mood that flows through her. The lighter the colour, the closer to Beka you are, the darker, the more annoyed you're making her. A dark, stormy blue is her angriest, while a faded grey is her saddest. It's like there is a storm brewing behind those eyes, and if one looked long enough, they might fool themselves into thinking they could see the real Beka, not the outer shell she gives to the world.

On first looking at Beka, one might think that you were looking at a cold, marble statue, just the way she holds herself, aloof and distant. One second glance, one can see the fragility in her, a pretty girl, she might be called a guys dream, with a fairly adequate body in the way of curves, Beka will never wear anything that might suggest this. Her skin is almost always cold, and her hands shake... However, you'll never get close enough to touch her skin. Especially not her collar bone and arm. On her left side, running along the collar bone and down her arm to the wrist, is a long scar, whiter than her pale skin.

Personality: Beka doesn't trust anyone, it's a simple fact. She'll rarely believe a word that comes out of anyone's mouth, or if she does, she believes it's been said with spite. Oddly enough, on the inside, Beka hates herself for everything she does. She acts like she doesn't need friends, only to know that the loneliness inside her is killing her, slowly. Don't think it's possible? It is. However, Beka is afraid of people, with the upbringing she hand, it's hard to imagine her wanting to be a bright and bubbly person, her lashing out is her only way of keeping herself safe. Beka is insecure, has little confidence, and above it all, terrified.

She longs to be loved and held, but the moment the comfort she craves is offered, she'll lash out, pulling herself away. A sweet girl trapped inside, too scared to come out, so the lie was created to keep herself safe.. Beka flinches away from alot of people, a harsh voice or a unsuspected movement by someone will have her flinching. With males, she can barely speak most of the time, stumbling over her words.

It's hard for anyone to gain her affection, but once it's won, it'll never go. Her trust is even harder to gain, and once broken, it will be impossible for her to trust that same person again. Beka doesn't really believe she's worth anything and this self conciousness makes it hard for her to understand simple things like friendship and being cared for. She doesn't seem to understand that some people are nice simply for that fact, she'll always do as told and is very easily bullied and taken advantage of. Raised to be silent, if Beka reveals something to someone, it's usually her way of saying 'you're my friend, I trust you now', even if the information is completely random.

History: Beka was born a child of violence, her Mother was not a willing partner, for she was not a wife, nor was she a willing mother. Her Father, well... Not much can be said. Kilina had been doing all she could for her mother while she was sick, gathering the greens like she was told, and attempting at berries, in doing so, she was grabbed, taken. A lone Shunned man was to blame, one that was obviously lonely but the years of solitude had devoid him of love or tenderness. Kilina was there for his needs, for her to cook, to keep him happy. Even if she hated it.

When Beka was born, Kilina at first rejected the babe, unable to look upon the child that had caused her so much pain. Even as she knew that the other reason was because she didn't want to care when that child went through the pain as she did.
At seven was when it started, Beka's smart mouth got her into trouble, and upon one time seeing her parents arguing, she'd yelled at her father, only to have the man slap her. The shock kept her quiet for a moment only.

The years went on, the beatings got worse, and by the time Beka was sixteen, was when the worst happened. She can still remember the pain of that sharpened stone sliding over her skin, cutting deep, and even scraping bone. She'd nearly collapsed with the pain, only now, half a year later, that she wished she had. Being raped by her own father was something that completely destroyed not only Beka's trust in people, but seeing her daughter have that placed upon her, destroyed Kilina.

It was pure chance that a Blue on a routine sweep that found her, shaking and bleeding, swearing at her father while she cried. The rider ordered his dragon to land, dismounting and taking the problem into his own hands. Kilina did not speak, the Shunned man did not object as Beka was lifted onto the neck of the Blue.

Name: Ruminth

Appearance: Upon hatching, Ruminth appears the size of a small blue. As she continues to grow she will stay around that size, surpassing her green sisters and never catching up to her blue brothers. Solidly in the middle of the average of both colors, even her body structure is a beautiful blend of the two. She is slightly stocky, her body lower to the ground than normal. While her legs display the powerful muscles of a blue, the rest of her body is more delicate. Ignoring the also-powerful muscles in her shoulders, Ruminth has a ladylike air about her. From the way she walks to the way she sometimes inclines her head just so - it's all reminiscent of a Lady Holder. There is a natural grace about her that, in her youth, will make her appear humorous, though the more she grows the more that grace will be something envied.

Her coloration is a dusky blue, a color rarely found in nature save for those few nights when the sky is touched with an almost earthen shade of blue. It is neither deep nor light, with nothing special about the color itself. It is the deep silver lacework that skitters over her hide that makes the coloration beautiful; only when paired with the silver does the blue look pretty. The designs woven onto Ruminth's hide are completely random with no reason to them. Though should one take a few steps back and squint both eyes, it might look like a meteor shower. It's nearly impossible to tell where one mark ends and another begins with the way the silver streaks across her haunches and sides, leaking down her back to swirl around her ankles. It is mostly concentrated on her back half, but there is silver that reaches past her shoulders and up her neck, though that is where the markings taper off, for her face is completely blue.

Personality: As her natural grace suggests, Ruminth would make an excellent Lady Holder. It is in her nature to be calm and collected, and rarely will she get overly excited about anything. In fact, getting "overly" anything is quite beneath her - she would much rather do things precisely the way they should be done with nothing extra and nothing less. That is most efficient, which sums the dragon up quite nicely. Above anything else, Ruminth is efficient. She does things only after considering them carefully, rolling ideas around in her head on the best way to deal with a situation. In addition to this she is gentle and feminine, likely to gasp at crude jokes and get nervous around males that give her attention. And she will get attention, if only for her hide.
