Rules in red = New Rules in Lime Green = Modified
1. We admins have the ability to change, add to, or detract from the rules. Please don't complain if you don't like one of the new rules. They are here to make things run smoothly. We will inform you of any changes in these rules as they come.
2. Since this is a Dragon Riders of Pern and you have joined it to roleplay in a Dragon Riders of Pern roleplay, please know the basic rules of how a Weyr works and such. If not, please make sure to do your research. Look up as much information as you can and make sure you know the basics. Thoughs who don't know the full exten of Weyr rules and wish to be a dragonrider should join as a candidate for impression. This you will be taught indirectly how things work.
3. If you have any questions or complaints, please direct them to the admins. We will help you the best we can. We however can't promise content to everyone that comes to us. We will do our best though.
3. Please read the Weyr's history section before you join the roleplay. We worked hard to make sure that you have everything you need to know and we will request that you read it if we notice you haven't yet.
4. I will be accepting transfer dragonriders, but you must ask a admin before apply as one. Though we will be accepting transfers, we still need the dragonriders from Akum Weyr. You will find the list of dragons and riders in the records section of the forum. Transfer Golds or Whites at this point. Lunars, Celestials, and Eclipses are specifically found in Akum Weyr so no transfers will be accepted for them either.
5. Lets be as literate as possible here please. This means try to write at least a paragraph per-post as well as have proper grammar and spelling. I understand writers block, but only to a point. If you do not check your posts for grammar mistakes and what-not, you will receive a warning. We know no one is perfect, but we would at least like to know that you are trying.
6. No Mary-sue Gary-stue or anything of that sort. I hate characters like that and I will make their lives miserable as long as they are in my Weyr. Depending on how bad they are, I will consider deleting them or not. I WILL delete all god-mod characters.
7. All Sexualities are welcome in this Weyr! You don't like it? Don't join....
8. We (The Admins), will harshly monitor all HAD/FAD/SAD, and HAF/FAF/SAF Riders/Candidates/Characters upon the site. If you make your character with that talent, and we say they can't have it. Please remove it. This is mainly because they are rare gifts and we want to make sure you will not abuse them.
9. Please try to stick to pernese curses.
10. Please try not to step on the eggs!!!
11. If you make a candidate and you did not get the color you wanted, do not complain about it please. As soon as your character is impressed to a dragon, it is set in stone. There is a reason why you were given that dragon. Whether it just fits your character or it can possibly help you character grow depends on our choices. We give people certain dragons for a reason. You may not see the logic in it, but be certain that we do.
12. You may currently apply as a character with a fire-bird if you so wish. Just remember, to look in the records area at the fire-bird listings before you do. there are currently only 25 hatched fire-birds at the moment. If you would prefer to candidate yourself for one of these creatures, that is acceptable as well. Just fill out the candidate section on your character sheet and specify that your candidacy if for a fire-bird in the other section. If you wish to apply for candidacy of both a fire-bird and a dragon, just copy and past another candidate section right underneath the other and fill it out. Just be sure to specify what each candidacy is for.
13. Dragons are very specific about the people they impress to. They will very rarely impress to those that are mentally ill or have diseases that could be crippling or life threatening. Do to this, if you create a character that has one or more of these problems, it will be very unlikely that you character will impress depending on the severity of you characters issue. We will not impress dragons to the suicidal or people that purposefully do things to themselves that could get them killed. It’s simply not fair to the dragon.
14. We are currently not accepting Gold Fire-lizards in applications. You may only acquire them from hatchings From Now on.
15. Harassment is a big no-no. Don't ever bug people about posting or what they do. This site is meant to be a fun place, not a horrible experience for people. Harassment will result with first a warning and them, if it continues, a 1-day ban and so on and so forth. I (Momo) will personally see to this. I refuse to allow the members of this site to harass each other.
16. Flight times will be decided by the admins. Please feel free to request a flight time if you so wish. We will be sure to put your name down for a time and inform you when your dragon may have their flight.
17. Mature content on this forum must be labeled as such in the thread title. If you open a mature content labeled thread, it is not our fault if you saw anything you didn't want to see. You have been warned before hand of it's maturity. Any threads with mature content that aren't labeled properly will be deleted without warning. Threads that should have a mature content are anything sexually themed (such as flight threads) and anything with detailed gory scenes (though I don't know why something like that would be on a Pern site.).
18. I (Shori) will be very picky about character personalities when impressing and accepting characters with fire-birds. If you character's personality doesn't fit the fire-bird they are applying with, I will either ask you to change your characters personality to fit it better, or ask you to choose a different color of fire-bird. When impressing a Fire-bird, the color will be decided by the admins based on your characters personality. Rule number eleven also applies for Fire-birds.
19. Candidate and Weyrling lessons are mandatory. Though this maybe true, if you can state you have learnt everything the master seeks to teach you in one post, that's all the posting you need do in that thread. Please no skipping out on lessons. It's not fair to those posting the lessons.
