Welcome to Akum Weyr
Welcome to Akum Weyr, a Semi-Canon DRoP RPG. New faces are always welcome and much appreciated. Akum is situated on the Southern Continent near the ocean.
We are in current need of more Blue and Greenriders. Candidates are also needed for White Hopeth's clutch.
If you want to make a rider, please check the Statistics board to see if any are available. Transfers are allowed, but please do not make a lot. There is a reason why the Weyrlings were the only ones left alive besides their WeyrlingMaster.

You must log in to see the rest of the Boards.

| - Human Bio - |

Name: S'yasu
Turns: 24
Gender: Male
Rank: White Rider
Sexuality: Gender hardly matters, but women tend to have the best screams.
Weyrmate: Haha...no. Good joke.

Appearance:
Even with the amount of care taken with his personality, the same amount is taken with his appearance. He stands at a comfortable 5'10", though he never seems so tall. It is the slight slouch of his shoulders that make him seem more approachable, and that easy-going smile of his sets off the odd harshness of his eyes. It is said that eyes are the windows to the soul, and even if that is not the case, Yasu's eyes are certainly windows to something. When alone, they harbor an oncoming storm, yet when in public they clear out. Even so, acute examination would reveal that the same storm always lurks on the horizon of his actions. They are a ruddy brown in coloration with touches of steel beneath to add credance to thoughts of storms, though that might just be your imagination. His skin is fair, though not so fair as to suggest he never gets outside. It is the careful monitoring of his time outside to ensure that he stays what he deems a pleasant shade of tan. It is just dark enough to make his smile seem brighter.

S'yau bears a small scar on the inside of his left wrist from the time he tried to calm a frantic fire lizard. Well, the story is that it was from a fire lizard, but one woman would tell a different story. A story about a dark storage room, forceful hands and a knife. The scar has yet to heal, and at this rate will not. Despite that, his hands are well tended to, with long fingers. In fact, his entire build seems to be a bit on the lanky side, though he has allowed himself to flesh out enough to counteract that and appear more normally built. It is, for all intents and purposes, a perfectly porportioned body sculpted with obsessive care. His hair is brown, though in the sunny season it is touched by it and transformed into a lighter shade with hints of blonde mingled through. He keeps his hair short simply because it's more practical that way and the shortness shows off the chisled angles of his jaw. And it reveals his face to the world, but he'd never be so vain as to actually say that. Well, he is probably vain enough to say it, but he's wise enough not to.

Personality:
A gentleman by nature, S'yasu could charm the hide off a dragon if he put his mind to it. His smile is always warm and reaches his eyes in his honest humility. He treats everyone with the utmost respect, particulary women, his superiors and his elders. To those under him or younger than him, he treats like a younger sibling, with tender warmth. He treats everyone as his equals, from the drudges to the riders he passes. However, that warm smile is the result of practice, practice, practice. Oh, he's been fooling everyone in the Weyr since a few Turns after his birth. He is extremely careful about what he says and does to the most intricate detail. He plans out his days with alarming minuteness. He hasn't slipped so far, because he's had no one see his inner darkness to rat him out. Though lately, he's started to slip more and more, ever since Impression. Having a dragon that encourages his inner darkness isn't the best thing for keeping it hidden.

His darkness? Yasu is a sadist. He dreams of one day finding a person that he can truly...enjoy. To hear his name screamed in pain, to hear that person beg for him to stop. The scenerio in his head is not always sexual, sometimes it is simply just inflincting pain. He often bites his lip when he thinks of these things, and his eyes grow distant, though that is usally taken for inward thinking or speaking to his dragon. He would never dare unleash these inner thoughts on anyone unless he's become close enough to them that he can ensure they'd never tell any other living soul. Or unless he knows they wont tell. There are many people who wont tell and have never told when his sadistic nature bleeds over into rape. It's happened more often than anyone knows, which works to his advantage in keeping people quiet. If they think they're the only one to be targeted and speak out, who would believe them that perfect little S'yasu would do such a horrible thing?

But this trait does not define him. It is merely an aspect of his personality, and rarely comes out to change how he acts. He is extremely loyal and devoted, but also very stubborn, single-minded and a control freak when it comes to his personal life. He goes beyond obsessive. His room and appearance are always pristine. Should he spend the night in someone else's room, he always leaves that room pristine, as well. It's become a running joke that if someone doesn't want to deal with their mess, just get S'yasu into their bed. Ironically enough, Yasu was a Healer. Despite his desire to see someone writhe in an agony he'd caused...or really, because of it, he tends to the sick and wounded of Akum on occasion. It's not that he's ashamed, just that he feels he should do it as atonement for his actions. Not that he'll stop doing them any time soon.

History:
There is nothing in the man's past to hint at what he would later become. Born into a loving family, Yasu was shipped off at an early age to study Healing. It was his father's trade and so he happily submitted himself to his studies, though he never showed any interest in leaving the easy life of the Apprentice. Oh sure, he could have gone up to Journeyman had he studied enough, but he just didn't care. It wasn't that it was too much work or that he had anything against healing as a profession...he just didn't care.

He had been visiting his family back at their Hold when the searchdragon came. Even while his father protested that he was supposed to be a healer, Siyasu climbed on the dragon and headed for Aziel Weyr. He didn't Impress right away and so had time to adjust to Weyrlife before the day he stood for that fatal hatching.

Siyasu had been shuffling his feet, mostly staring at the two struggling eggs that everyone else was looking at. Most of the other eggs had hatched already, but these two seemed unable to break their way free. And no one was going to them. After a while one stopped, and a girl ran over to the other. Siyasu watched as she freed the dragon inside, then stared at the other egg. The longer he stared at it, the more he felt like doing the same thing the girl had. It wasn't until he felt a mental prod that he (politely) shoved a few candidates out of the way to assist his Yaasith's hatching.

Weyrlinghood was rather boring, a lot like his healer studies had been, but he got through it. He spent most of his time socializing, and the day he heard that the other Whiterider was transferring Weyrs, he stormed over to the Weyrleaders and demanded asked to go with her. "Yaasith just can't bear to be that far from Hopeth," he'd said, and they sent him away to Akum Weyr. His reason? Well, it probably had something to do with the jealous lovers he had scattered around Aziel.

Name: Yaasith
Turns: 6 Turns
Color: (M) White

Appearance:
Sleek and lean and small, Yaasith is one of the better-proportioned dragons within the Weyr, even if he is one of the smallest. His body and limbs are quite compact, nothing is wasted in the creation of his form. He's designed for flight with his light build, the lack of extra weight working to allow him a graceful sense of agility, and surprising stamina in the air, despite being smaller than many other dragons. Or all the other dragons. He doesn't look odd, despite his slightly short dimensions -- he's a bit on the lanky side, which makes the stout neck and body seem quite natural. His eyes set a tad more closely together than other dragons, his neck slightly shorter, his neckridges less pronounced. A few freckles of extremely faded off-white can be seen along his 'ridges if you look closely

Yaasith's wings... well, they look as if they have been made for a larger dragon and they will always be in his way until he's fully grown, which will not be for several Turns more. Or ever. With his over-large wings and feet, he's a funny yet touching sight, having stumbled through his Weyrlinghood. It's not that he's clumsy; quite the opposite. Well, on land he is an amusement, but he more than makes up for it with his grace in the air. Colorwise, he has one basic tone: a pure faded white. The color is not bright or blinding, but soothing, as if there is a bit of gray worked into the color as well. He also has a paler shade that seems like snow mixed in with slightly gray clouds, seeming all the more clean when paired with the darker shade of white. In reality, it is a medium white, sans the pure tones of a true white. Striations of the snow-white shade also appear brushed across his wingsails, just slightly. The silvery scars of Threadfall will show up starkly against his hide, rarely disappearing completely.

Personality:
A loyal, strong yet unintimidating dragon, Yaasith is that hometown all-round nice guy. He's not just a reincarnation of your girlhood dream-hunk , though, he's the embodiment of everything good and right and loyal. Even so, the white has an inability to understand irony or sarcasm, or any form of humor. He's just literal- if it smells like herdbeast, looks like herdbeast and seems like herdbeast, it's dinner. Pity if underneath the disguise it's a candidate playing tricks. This might prove some problems. He's such a loyal, down to earth guy, that if someone in jest mock-punches his rider's shoulder, it'll be enough to get him all riled up. He's quite `traditional' in the sense that he knows he's much bigger than his rider, and so he'll want to help him wherever he can. He's got a good sense of right and wrong, he's quite the moralist which might conflict with any time his rider tries to pull some mischievous prank. If S'yasu was the type to play pranks.

He's also a dragon of little words. He doesn't go talking to just anyone. Yaasith would rather observe -- it's the stealthy commando coming out in him. He'll watch, make observations to His - but he won't bring them up again unless they are needed. Like if he sees a rider doing something naughty, he might have to let the His know, Because it is only right that he knows everything. - he'll make the excuse. It's his moralistic nature again. Yaasith isn't some boring ingot, either. He has skills other then monitoring his fellow dragons and His. He'll be in his element when training or in drills. He'll be the first up in the morning, and the last to the couch unless he masters his formations. He'll even urge S'yasu to do his chores promptly and well, earning groans and complaints. Yaasith is cool and calm, which proves more than intimidating in its own rights. If his fellow dragons decide to bicker, he'll just stand there, and maybe glare. He's not into violence at all. He'd actually prefer being the peacemaker, rather than the antagonist.

Which makes his choice in rider all that more odd. Why would such a moralistic dragon choose to Impress a sadistic rapist? Well, the answer is iin how long they've spent together. When Yaasith hatched, S'yasu was not the person he is today. Six Turns under the chafing demands of his dragon has shifted the man into a deviant, and because the change was gradual, he dragged his dragon with him. Yaasith does not see His' actions as wrong, because His does not see them as wrong. As rider becomes like dragon, so does dragon become like rider.
