Appearance:
With black hair and golden eyes, Ash'n is a very dashing young man and he knows it. Letting his short cut black hair fall around his face and head in wild, curly, tendrils down to the nap of his neck, Ash'n rarely needs to brush or do anything with his already naturally curly hair other then clean it regularly, which he does. Though his hair does fall into face, no hair could ever hide the golden sheen of his beautiful eyes, the paleness of his lightly colored flesh or the feminine, yet masculine, carving of his face.

Growing up, Ash'n always seemed to have the tall lengthy body of a dancer. But as he got older he started to accumulate lanky muscle, even though it is most likely he has never worked a hard day in his life before he became a candidate. Standing at 5'10 and weighing around 174lbs, Ash'n is of average height and weight.

Being the second son of a Hold Lord, Ash'n never found getting what he needed from his mother hard when it came to clothing and material position. Using his mother's generosity, Ash'n has built himself a monstrous wardrobe of richly made outfits and he puts them all to good use.

Personality:
Flirtatious, carefree and spoiled to the bone, Ash'n is what some would call a rich playboy. Using his looks and natural flirtatiousness to get what he wants, Ash'n finds life very easy for him. Though he will flirt with anything with two legs, Ash'n has a outstanding fear and hatred of women most women, do to the fact that he lost one of his loves after a woman fell into a jealous rage, making him strictly homosexual. As his father, who is extremely homophobic, realized his second son's sexuality, he blamed it on his wife and basically disowned Ash'n as a son, hurting him deeply.

Living with the fact that his father didn't want him and he had caused the death of someone he had loved, Ash'n's attitude became worse then before and a angry dangerous side slowly mixed with the flirtatious, carefree, spoiled side of Ash'n, making him a person not to trifle with. Feeling alone, with only his mother and the people that fell for his looks to lean on, he drowned his sorrow in the only way he could think of and one of the few things he was actually good at, sex.

After becoming a candidate, Ash'n was forces to changed once again. Throwing his lazy side out the window for a time, he found enjoy meant in hard work, and completion of a job well done. Upon impressing, seeing as he couldn't go drowned his sorrow with sex anymore, Ash'n found peace in talking with his Green, Glenth, even though she was female. Sharing with Glenth the kindness he showed to very few other, Ash'n once again became the way he was before he was disowned by his father.

History:
Born the second son of the lord and lady holders of a Forest Hold, Ash'n was born into a home where he was spoiled by his mother and all but ignored by his father. Even though his father did ignore him most of the time, he could not deny the fact that his son was overly spoiled by his mother and overly flamboyant and pretty for a boy. Do to this, Ash'n's father made it a point to try and force females upon his son at the age of 12 turns, in fear that his son might turn out to be queer. But in doing so he assured his son's homosexuality.

It was not long after his 13 turn, when the thing that would turn him away from women forever happened. At that time he had been courting one of his father's friend's daughters, even though he was secretly having relations with a son of a lower cavern woman and a woodcrafter, who he had no really interest in and he didn't try to hide the fact from her. The issue was, she was madly in love with him and she was a extremely jealous woman.

Throwing herself at him at every turn, and going as far as stalking him, Ash'n found it really hard to find time for the person that he really cared about, Tareen. It didn't take long for Juliana to find out about his secret relationship between Ash'n and Tareen, even though they had been trying to keep it secret, and she fell into a fit of jealous rage and did the unthinkable. She killed the unfortunate Tareen in his sleep. Believing that no one should have Ash'n if she couldn't, Juliana planned to do the same to him. But before she could, the hold guards caught her sneaking into his room covered in Tareen's blood and brandishing a blade in her hand.

Waking up to the sounds of fighting, Ash'n leaped from his bed and ran to door to find two guards fighting against a raging girl covered in blood, who settled when he walked out to see what was going on. Not sure what was going on, Ash'n demanded answers. But he didn't like what he heard. At the sight of him Juliana burst into a tearful fit of laughter and admitted her crime and that she would get him to for what he had done.

Deeply shocked by Juliana's confession, Ash'n ran back into the room and pulled on some proper cloths. Once he was properly dressed, or as dressed as he was willing to get after hearing her confession, Ash'n ran out of his room and towards were Tareen lived. But what he saw was not what he wanted to see. The whole time he had been running to his house, he had been telling himself that there was no way that Tareen was dead. But burst through the door and ran into his room, there was no denying the bloody mess before him. Unable to hold back the bile that came up his throat at the sight, Ash'n turned away and started to vomit uncontrollable as tear of pain, anger, and lose came to his eyes.

After this events happenings, and Juliana's confession to the crime got out, there was no way to hide the truth from his father anymore and, truth be told, he didn't care. In fact, after his father said that Juliana was no longer wanted in his hold and she was thrown out, he straight up told him that he would no longer court anymore woman. Of course this enraged his father and, in his rage, he decided that it was time to foster off his son to another hold.

Forced to leave his hold for another forest hold by the name of Splinter Wood Hold, which tithed to Akum Weyr, Ash'n hide his anger and pain with his flirtations and his handsome face. But that was not the only way he drowned his sorrows though. Not caring in the least the reputation he was giving his father, he began to sleep around with many of the gay young men of the hold.

It was at this hold that he found out about a strange plague that was killing off the winged beast in the Weyr. In this Weyr was also the very first time he saw a Fire-Bird and it was said to be the last in the hold. Though he thought this Black flaming bird to be a very beautiful creature, he silently wondered if these 'Fire-Birds' were in fact the cause of the plague that was killing of the dragons. But he didn't say his thoughts to anyone, seeing as these creatures seemed to be placed height in this Weyr.

It was not more then one turn after he fostered to this hold that something worse then the plague happen. Threadfall! He couldn't believe it as they all hide from the menace that fell from the sky to kill the land below. He had been told that thread would never fall again by the hold harper at his father's hold. But that was apparently not true as the people of the hold waited for the fall to end. He could see that he was not the only one that was thinking these thoughts as he looked around at all of the other scared faces with in the hold. It just proved the fact that harpers didn't know everything.

After the thread stopped falling and the dragon riders had finished cleaning the last few spores that had landed on the ground. The devastating news, that many of the dragons and there riders had died fighting thread, filled the hold. This sent a wave of fear greater then any felt before through the whole of the Weyr and Ash'n found himself wishing he were back at his hold. But no matter how much he wished for that he knew it wouldn't happen anytime soon.

With the knowledge that thread fall had fallen once again, and would most likely fall again, the weyr and it's holds fell into disappear. But then news of the queen dragon Myndith's rising came to the weyr and hope came with her clutch for a queen egg lay with in it. Instantly, the search riders were sent out to find more candidates for the clutch of 21 eggs and, when they came to Splinter Wood Hold, to Ash'n's great surprise, he was searched!

Leaving the hold, which he had started to get used to, Ash'n was taken to the weyr on dragonback where he was welcomed as a Candidate. Candidate life was very different for Ash'n, who was used to lazing about and not doing much of anything else. But it didn't seem to bug him to much. He didn't think that he would find work as comforting as he did before then. But as he got used to a candidates life, he found work almost enjoyable. But little did anyone know, danger was looming over them for the red star had returned and was ready to litter Pern with it's deadly spores again.

When hatching day came all of the dragons impressed and to Ash'n's greatest surprise, and happiness, he impressed a green dragon named Glenth. Though he thought he could never love a female after what Juliana did, he was wrong. He instantly fell in love with Glenth the moment she walked over to him and said, Ash'n mine, your beautiful Glenth hungers! Please feed her?

Though the weyr was filled with happiness after all of the dragons impressed, it didn't last long for, not long after the hatching, thread fell again and this time all of the fighting wings perished and the weyrling riders and the weyrling master were the only dragon riders left standing. Ash'n could see the hope drain out of all of the people around him as he wondered what would happen now. Were they going to have to sit around and watch the thread eat what was left of their world? But, just as he thought that, what looked like a over sized flaming bird appeared in the sky and ate the thread, giving them another chance at life.

They all watched as the Fire-bird landed in the hatching sands and laid a amazing clutch of 50 eggs and, to everyones surprises, they watched as he light slowly flickered out and she turned to ash before their very eyes. A new respect built up in Ash'n for these beast as he watched this and he finally understood why the people in the weyr held them so highly and he found himself wanting one. But, much like dragons, fire-birds had to harden as well.

After all of these disasters, Ash'n and the others slowly helped to rebuild the weyr to it glory, but it seemed almost empty now that the there were only 22 dragons left in all of the weyr. The people of Akum silently hoped that nothing more would happen to the weyr. But something did happen to the weyr, something great! The queen Dyamoth was to rise! The question was, which dragon would catch her and how big would the clutch be. Ash'n hoped it would be big so that they would have more dragon riders and some of the pressure would be lifted off his shoulders. You wouldn't believe how much dragon riders did until there we only 22 left to do it.

Name: Glenth

Appearance:
Glenth, like most greens is a very small and lithe dragon. A little round in the belly, do to the fact that her rider spoils her as much as his mother spoils him and the fact that she tends to be very lazy, Glenth is slightly slower then the rest of her green sisters. Though this maybe true, Glenth still has some of the add agility her color comes with. Do to her layabout attitude, Glenth has a lot less stamina then even her green sisters, making her almost useless in the fighting of Thread. Do to this, her and her rider are part of the Search Wing of the Weyr, but that doesn't seem to bug them in the least. Do to the fact that she feels she is better then her Golden sister, Glenth often gets into fights with Dyamoth. Do to these fight, Glenth has scars about her body that she finds very unattractive herself and she often does her best to hide them.

Personality:
Glenth is a very spoiled young dragon. Much like her Rider she loves to be the center of attention and also loves to be fawned over. Being unnaturally lazy for a dragon, you can often find Glenth sun-bathing or something of those sorts. Though she is not the prettiest dragon, Glenth is a outrageous flirt. Throwing herself at every male dragon with in sight, Glenth is often avoided by dragons that don't like to be the center of attention or just don't like her. Though, when they are flying together, people find her rider more attractive then her, she loves her Ash'n deeply and doesn't mind the fact that he was given more attention by others then she.
